Wires, Wheels and Wonder: Grade 3's First Robotics Class

Grade 3 traded pencils for laptops this week for their first proper robotics class, each student pairing up with a small wheeled robot wired to their own machine. Line by line, they built the simple bits of code that would tell it what to do — and watched, laptop screens glowing, as their instructions turned into real movement on the table in front of them.

When the robot's lights blinked on and its wheels finally rolled the way they'd planned, the reaction across the room said it all — wide eyes, big grins, and a room full of Grade 3 students who had just watched their own code come alive.
