Feeling Faces: First Step Explores the World of Emotions

First Step's little ones spent the session exploring emotions — learning to recognise, name and express feelings through their own facial expressions. From wide happy smiles to scrunched-up angry frowns, surprised wide eyes to gentle sad pouts, each child took a turn showing off their best expression.

The activity was equal parts playful and purposeful — a simple, hands-on way to help our youngest learners understand what they feel and put a name to it, one expression at a time.
